Order No. 12/2010 of January 7, which lists the professional activities that the legislator considers to have a particular scientific, technical or artistic added value, was substantially amended by Order No. 230/2019 of July 23, effective January 1, 2020. The professions concerned are now essentially specified by reference to the Portuguese Classification of Professional Activities (Classificação Portuguesa de Profissões – CPP), which in turn is strongly based on the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO-08).
